Dr. Isadora is a highly sought after creative talent. She is a multi-talented filmmaker, public speaker, author, designer, and all-around creative businesswoman and visionary entrepreneur. Her award-winning, internationally known Red Tent movie “Things We Don’t Talk About" has been seen by over 1 million people, is subtitled in 6 languages and has been screened over 1,000 times in 3 years in 75 countries. She is trained as both a filmmaker, a textile historian, and a feminist folklorist. Her mission is to create multi-media to empower women. She holds a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and a Masters and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In addition to her educational experiences, Dr. Isadora has owned and operated Soulful Media, her film production company since 2004 and has produced 13 films since she began. Dr. Isadora continues to be inspired by international travel and many of her films have led her to live in and travel in more than 18 countries.

Media and Outreach Specialist: Designed, implemented, and maintained a new website and brand that gained international attention. http://textilecollection.wisc.edu In-house graphic designer. Inter-departmental and UW-Foundation fund raising liaison. Organized two annual Ruth Ketterer Harris Textile Lectures. Curated the "By Women, About Women" exhibition. Assisted on exhibitions including, "Clothing and Culture in South Asia" and "Crafting Kimono," as well as several online exhibitions. Cataloged objects in the collection. Assist with preparation and presentations of textiles from the Collection to students and faculty.

Internship: Multi-tasked working with the 10 artists-in-residence and eagerly fulfilled responsibilities for the gallery and the business. Assisted the residency director and delegated with the president of the board. Updated databases for their Annual Art Auction and maintained a 5,000 volume library.

Assistant to the Associate Curator: Archived jewelry objects. Catalogued and researched wallpaper. Assisted Museum Conservator with textile and furniture conservation for On The Wall wallpaper by contemporary artists exhibtion. Assisted with the preparation of Zigzag Chairs and Wobbly Mirrors, 20th century furniture exhibition.


John Mathews Limited

East Greenwich, RI summer 2002.

Assistant model/mold maker: Internship: Fabricated limited edition toys and maquettes for Nickelodeon and DC Comics. Characters include the Justice League, Batman, and SpongeBob Squarepants. Meticulously preformed and strategized all technical processes including preparation of rubber molds, sculpting, resin casting, and all finishing and presentation work.
